Jersey Jersey Jersey!

I have been to the fabric market in Bochum on Saturday. It was a rather spontaneous trip. A friend of mine mentioned it on twitter and I was like… O.O ooooh, take me with you! TAKE ME WITH YOU! *haha* Poor thing, there was no escape for her, she had no choice but to take me with her ;) Bochum is only a two hour train ride away from where I live and I can ride the trains for free in NRW so why not being spontaneous sometimes?! The weather was great, the fabric was cheap and here is what I got on my 40€ budget (+the 10 bucks my boyfriend “invested”) :D… JERSEY! And some more jersey! SO MUCH JERSEY ^^. If I was a Sim my jersey bar would finally be all bright green again.
Why all the jersey?
a) Ever since I figured out how to work my serger sewing jersey is pure bliss.
b) I like making simple basics like long sleeves, t shirts etc. rather than buying them
c) I promised Milktea I’d make her more over sized shirts
d) My latest obsession is figuring out the best way to make your own panties (another basic I’d like to make rather than buy). That is, btw the reason for all the elastics I bought. I tried several tutorials but so far none convinced me 100%. There are still some more in my DIY bookmark list. We’ll see :D If you happen to know a great panties/underwear in general tutorial pleaaaase leave me the link!!! Thanks!!

I love jersey! I need to venture out to the fabric store and buy some more of it actually. It gets used up freakishly quickly in my house…

wow! I definitely don’t have that kind of patience. I would never be able to make panties when they are so inexpensive anyways… but to each their own I guess :)

Ja, der Stoffmarkt… :) Ich werde bald auch wieder hingehen, letztes Jahr war ich schon 2x und habe mir Stoff mit kleinen Zauberern drauf gekauft.
